Clearing, Letting Go and Mental Release
This Full Moon in Virgo is not an ordinary Full Moon. It is a lunar eclipse on the South Node. That gives this phase a distinctly releasing quality. Where a North Node eclipse pushes forward, a South Node eclipse removes something. It reveals what has fulfilled its function. What has become too much. What you no longer need to carry.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury. And Mercury is retrograde in Pisces, in its detriment, closely conjunct the Sun and therefore combust. This clouds the mental atmosphere. There may be fogginess, confusion, forgetfulness, or scattered thinking. The energy can feel messy or even slightly frantic, while concentration is lacking at the same time.
This is not a period for signing important contracts or forcing decisions. What becomes visible now asks for observation rather than action. A lunar eclipse brings to the surface what you have been feeling internally for quite some time. Everything you are ready to leave behind will show itself. Sometimes subtly, sometimes confrontationally.
The Virgo–Pisces combination points to tension between practical order and spiritual surrender. The mind may feel tired. The body may signal exhaustion. There can be an inner realization: I cannot take anything more in. This is what I can handle, and beyond that I need a buffer.
That makes this eclipse especially suitable for clearing and detoxifying — both physically and mentally. Decluttering your home. Clearing your schedule. Releasing expectations.
What costs more energy than it gives?
What is draining you?
What has become a habit out of worry or control, but no longer nourishes you?
Mercury retrograde in Pisces also brings a spiritual shift. Thinking becomes less linear and more intuitive. This is a moment to redirect your awareness toward your inner life. Spiritual practices, silence, meditation, journaling, or gentle creative activities can be supportive.
Virgo asks for practical application. Letting go does not have to be dramatic. It can be very concrete: fewer obligations, less worrying, less analyzing what cannot be controlled.
A South Node eclipse can also mean stepping away from something you once loved but that no longer fits. This does not have to be a conflict. It can be a natural fading. A quiet disappearance.
This Full Moon calls for rest. Support your body with clean habits, sufficient sleep, gentle movement. Avoid mental overload. Do not try to understand more than is possible right now.
This is a phase of shifting and clearing. As practical as possible. As gentle as possible.
